Ancient Lands and Lives Film Productions

Ancient Lands and Lives Films is dedicated to storytelling about wildlife and the people whose ancestors long experienced how to survive in these shared lands.
Carol J. Amore is the award-winning executive producer and filmmaker/photographer who leads and produces endangered wildlife film expeditions in Asia (wild Bengal tigers), Africa (big cats), the Arctic (polar bears, Arctic wolves), and North American national parks, including the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Parks (grizzly bears, wolves, cougars, and more).
In 2025, Yellowstone Wild Through Time was uniquely filmed and edited to be showcased to global audiences in 2026. The film connects ancient Yellowstone’s past and present through an immersive journey combining high-impact visuals and enriched musical experiences.
Yellowstone’s ecosystems include magnificent wildlife predator-prey territorial interactions (grizzly and black bears, gray wolves, cougars, lynx, red foxes, and more), colorful geothermal formations with ancient microbes, spectacular hot springs and geyser eruptions, ever-changing weather patterns, dynamic wind and cloudscapes, as well as breathtaking celestial night skies.
Witness advanced film technologies using approved LiDAR drones, thermal cameras, macro photography, microscopic filming, high-altitude imagery, time-lapse, and slow-motion filming to add visual depth and bring audiences inside Yellowstone National Park’s extraordinary environments.
In 2024, Arctic Polar Bear Mothers was released by the end of the year. In January 2025, this short film won the Cannes World Film Festival and IndieFEST’s Best Nature/Wildlife awards. Immerse yourself in the life of a polar bear mother protecting and caring for her cubs in the harsh Arctic extremes. Feel the high winds, frozen ice, and plunge into cold waters as the polar bear family hunts its favorite food—seals. Arctic predators, including male polar bears and Arctic and gray wolves, challenge the mother’s survival instincts. She nurses her cubs to rapidly build their strength and finds food to help them grow toward independence. Witness the cubs’ rapid growth from two pounds at birth to approximately 150 pounds or more within one year.
In 2023, Ancient Lands and Lives – Above the Grand Canyon Rims, a short film and music video, inspired domestic and international audiences by showcasing the Grand Canyon’s sweeping landscapes, unique wildlife interactions, and sacred tribal lands. It won the Cannes World Film Festival for Best Nature/Wildlife. In 2024, it received over 100 global film festival awards, as listed on FilmFreeway.com.
As an innovator, Carol believes in the synergy of new camera systems (4K, 8K, Canon cameras, approved aerial drones, and more) and advanced video production technologies to capture the most compelling imagery for each film’s story. Adobe Premiere Pro was used to edit and add special effects. Wildlife is Carol’s passion and her purpose—working toward meaningful conservation solutions that allow endangered wild animals and humans to coexist. For Carol, actions speak louder than words when it comes to saving wildlife.
Her award-winning interactive e-book, 20 Ways to Track a Tiger, is part of a global media engagement effort supporting wild tiger conservation. It is available on Amazon, Apple, and Google eBooks. (www.tigerstracking.com)
Carol is also a member of ASMP (Association of Media Photographers) and NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association). She was admitted as a member of The Explorers Club in 2002, an acclaimed global exploration organization.
New nature and wildlife adventure films and docu-music videos are currently in production for 2027.
